The Batavia boys and girls worked their way to wins over Greece Olympia on Saturday with senior Bryn Wormley recording the top-performance of the afternoon.

Wormley led the Lady Devils to a 66-46 win over the Lady Spartans, scoring 35 points on five three-pointers to go with six assists. Kenzie Reigle doled out seven assists and grabbed seven rebounds to go with her seven points in the Batavia win.

Tess Barone added 11 points for the Devils (3-3). In the loss, Taylor Jung drained five three-pointers and scored 32 points for Olympia (2-3).

For the Batavia boys, Luke Rogers recorded a big day in a 69-56 win which was the Devils’ second victory over the Spartans in the past five days. Rogers knocked down four three-pointers en route to a 15-point afternoon, while Zach Gilebarto recorded a team-high 22 points. Stone Siverling chipped in 18 points and Alex Hale added nine points for the Blue Devils (5-0).

“Today was a tough game for us. It’s tough to play a team back to back,” said Batavia boys coach Buddy Brasky. “Especially one that applies as much pressure as they do.”

The Batavia girls look ahead to a matchup with Greece Odyssey on Monday, while the boys will meet Notre Dame on Sunday afternoon. The matchup between the Blue Devils and the Irish will be streamed LIVE on the Batavia Daily News YouTube Channel. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. from Batavia High School.

DRAGONS SWEEP DEVILS

It was a good day for the Pembroke Dragons, as their boys and girls won over Attica. It was Jon Suro’s drive and layup near the end of the fourth quarter that served as the difference in the Dragons’ win. Garrett Totten paced Pembroke with 15 points in the victory over the Blue Devils, while Cayden Pfalzer added 13 points of his own and Tyson Totten chipped in nine points.

For Attica in the loss, Ayden Goll led the way with 15 points, Ian Romesser scored 13 points and Nick Perl added 10 points. The Blue Devils are now 2-4, the Dragons are 5-1.

The Pembroke girls moved past Attica, 48-38. The Lady Dragons got 18 points and four assists from Serene Calderon and Allie Schwerthoffer added nine points and five rebounds. For Attica, Makenna Jarnot scored 17 points.

Pembroke improved to 4-1, while the Lady Devils fell to 3-2.
