Provided The Pavilion 12U girls softball team has been playing very well this season and defeated Batavia on Thursday.

PAVILION — Host Pavilion’s 12U softball squad knocked off previously unbeaten Arcade 17-6 Tuesday in GLOW Academy softball action.

Pitchers Courtney Garbacki and Mia Treleaven each tossed three strong innings for Pavilion allowing just one hit while striking out 15 batters.

Garbacki struck out nine batters while Treleaven struck out six to combine on the one-hit gem.

Offensively for Pavilion, Ella Bekota went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the way while Ella Tillotson, Grace Smith, Alaina Rowe were all 1-for-1.

Pavilion improved their record to 8-1 on the season.

On Aug. 18, Pavilion 12U swept a doubleheader against both Oakfield and Albion.

In the first game Pavilion defeated Oakfield by a competitive 5-2 score as winning pitcher Mia Treleaven was on her game with five strong innings striking out 12 batters.

In the second game, Pavilion outslugged Albion 17-8 as Courtney Garbacki tossed four innings striking out five batters.
