Pavilion pitchers combined for eight strikeouts. Pavilion improved their record to 10-1 overall on the season.

Oakfield Gold 13, Oakfield Blue 6

The biggest softball game in Oakfield Friday night saw the Gold squad take away with the convincing victory over the Blue squad.

Oakfield Gold was sparked in the first inning with three runs highlighted by Elle Bentley’s home run.

Gold added five runs in the fifth and contributing to the big inning was Allison Harkness, Bentley, and Chloe Lamb, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs.

Bentley had a huge game also had a big game on the base paths while four stolen bases, as Gold ran wild on the base paths with 20 stolen bases.

Starting pitcher Maria Snell did not allow any hits in her two innings of work striking out three batters while Emma Underhill tossed all six innings for Blue, striking out 11 batters.

Offensively for Blue, Raine Denny went 2-for-2 at the plate while Brooklyn Jachimowicz had two RBIs.

Blue also tore up the base paths as six players stole at least two bases with Emma Thompson leading the way with five swipes.

Gold had 15 hits in the victory while Blue collected five.
