BERGEN - A Bergen man was killed early Saturday morning when the car he was driving crashed into a utility pole and tree on Dublin Road in the town of Bergen, reports the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office.
Bryan S. Holland of Clinton Street Road, Bergen, was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The one-car crash was reported at 12:23 a.m. Saturday by a 911 caller to Genesee County Emergency Dispatch.
When deputies arrived Holland was deceased, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Holland was traveling eastbound on Dublin Road when his vehicle traveled off the south shoulder of the road. The vehicle continued traveling eastbound striking several mailboxes and a utility pole, before coming to rest after striking a large tree, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Holland was pronounced dead at the scene by Genesee County Coroner Thomas Douglas.
The accident was investigated by members of the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office.
Assisting at the scene were members of the Town of Bergen Fire Department and Mercy EMS.
