BERGEN — A Bergen woman has been identified as the victim of Tuesday’s fatal vehicle-pedestrian accident.
David A. Youlfo, 28, was eastbound on Route 262 when he crossed into the westbound lane and into the shoulder, state police said. He struck Kara G. Hall, 25, who was running at the time.
Youlfo’s Nissan continued off the roadway, troopers said. It then struck a fire hydrant and tree before coming to rest.
Youlfo was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Hall was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is continuing. Beergen firefighters and Genesee County sheriff’s deputies assisted at the scene.
