Couple racks up more burglary charges


BELFAST — A Belfast man charged earlier this month with burglarizing a house in Wyoming County and five others in Allegany now faces eight more charges.

Joshua L. Maxwell, 40, a four-time convicted felon, and his girlfriend, Marian K. Nersinger, 41, also of Belfast were arrested Wednesday and charged with eight counts each of second-degree burglary, criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of burglar tools.

The two are accused of entering eight homes in West Almond, Birdsall, Angelica, Belfast and Allen between July and September.

The two were charged Sept. 22 with five counts of burglary in Allegany and on Oct. 6 for burglarizing a house in Genesee Falls on Oct. 22, 2019.
