MEDINA — Village police are trying to determine whether a man who robbed Crosby’s early this morning also stole a car seven hours after the robbery.
Chief Chad Kenward said a 2005 Pontiac G6 with license plate DCV6320 was stolen about 8 a.m. today from a location in the village.
The car has a rear trunk bicycle rack with a bike attached.
Kenward said his officers have developed a suspect in the armed robbery and that person may be connected to the car theft.
The robbery happened about 1 a.m. when a man entered the store, brandished a knife and demanded money from the clerk.
The man fled the store on foot, leading to a search of the area by officers on foot, in a car and with a K9 unit.
Police searched nearby woods and streets but no one was found.
The suspect is described as Hispanic, in his 20s, standing about 5 feet 9 inches tall and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a black bandana, which covered his face.
