PERRY — Planning Endless Outdoors Company was a two-year journey for Brianne Blaszak, but the Wyoming County native has a business that inspires the community to get back in touch with nature — no matter the time of year.
Blaszak and Endlessly Outdoors celebrated a grand opening today by cutting the ribbon at the store’s 8 Covington St. location. Endless Outdoors had a soft opening three weeks ago, she says.
The Endlessly Outdoors owner enrolled in the Wyoming County Business Center’s FastTrac Program in the spring of 2018 and was able to refine her ideas, create a solid business plan and build her business, the county Chamber of Commerce said in a press release.
“For everybody who lived through the up-and-down hikes over the last two years, it’s been quite the hike,” Blaszak said today. “Even though it feels like the summit, I know it’s not really a summit. There’s still things I want to do with the business. To all of them and to the family and friends that have backed me the last two years, and more, I say thank you.”
Her business takes advantage of Western New York’s parks, trails, lakes and communities. Endlessly Outdoors teaches people of all ages and abilities to achieve their personal fitness and/or recreation goals in the great outdoors, the chamber said. It also sells T-shirts and apparel, among other items.
“Brianne will also be partnering with many local businesses and organizations, including Wolfpack Multisport, who will be directing cycling and triathlon races and activities from Endlessly Outdoors Company’s store,” the chamber said.
Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce Director of Tourism & Marketing Eric Szucs said Blaszak and he have had so many conversations about what she plans to do and the work that she’s done already.
“To have her here, to have her set up shop and all the amazing programming she’s going to do here — at Letchworth State Park, at Silver Lake and in Perry as a community, in Wyoming County as a community — is just amazing. We’re so happy to have her here,” he told those gathered.
“She has promised, when she makes her first trillion (dollars), she’s going to throw us a couple of million, so I’ve already worked that out,” Szucs joked.
Chamber of Commerce CEO Scott Gardner said the chamber is pleased to welcome Blaszak to the Wyoming County business community.
“This business will be the perfect fit with our growing tourism sector and will provide visitors with first-class, outdoor, recreational experiences,” he said.
Blaszak said that as she began to envision making Endlessly Outdoors Company a reality, she realized how beneficial it would be to take the FastTrac Program.
“Upon graduation, I have the knowledge, resources and plan to execute my dream,” she said. “While I have collaborated with Wyoming County Tourism on numerous projects since graduation, it did take me just over two years to arrive at this grand opening day, but I could not be more proud and excited to have Endlessly Outdoors Company located in Wyoming County. And, while I say it often, this company and space are truly for this community to come and reconnect with each other one adventure at a time.”
FastTrac Program Facilitator Jeff Fitch said Blaszak has been very persistent. She goes after something and gets it, which is what you need to do to start a business, he said.
“She was a very good student, very passionate and really devoted to the idea of the outdoors and fitness, and health, interacting positively with the environment,” Fitch said.
Perry Mayor Rick Hauser said he has been following Blaszak’s business online and was delighted to meet with her and learn more about her plans for Endlessly Outdoors.
“I think it’s an ideal fit for the community. I know you’ll have the support of the community and we’re excited you’re here,” he said.
Endlessly Outdoors is open from noon to 7 p.m. Wednesdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 9 a.m. to noon Sundays. The business may be open on Mondays if they are holidays.
