BUFFALO – He boasted of having a Mercedes and gold around his wrist and neck and money, cars and toys.
And, Anthony Allee once wrote on Facebook, his wife was the reason for his success in life.
That was not the case.
Drugs were the reason and on Wednesday, Allee, of Ridgeway, was sentenced in U.S. District Court to serve 12 years and six months in federal prison.
Allee, 29, pleaded guilty in July to possessing with intent to distribute and distributing cocaine and unlawful possession of a short-barreled shotgun in furtherance of drug trafficking.
He had faced up to 20 years in prison.
Allee and his wife, Tashira, 37, were first arrested in July 2019 after local police raided their home on Ridge Road.
Police seized cocaine, marijuana, hydrocodone, numerous guns, including a stolen handgun and drug paraphernalia, including scales, vacuum sealer and bags.
The case was taken over by the FBI and U.S. Attorney’s Office, leading to the couple’s arrest on federal charges.
Tashira Allee pleaded guilty to maintaining a drug-involved premises and was previously sentenced to three years probation and 100 hours of community service. She had faced as much as 20 years in prison.
The Allees were well-known to local police, including the Orleans Major Felony Crime Task Force.
The task force, Sheriff’s Department, District Attorney’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Kevin Kelly; the Niagara County Drug Task Force, under the direction of Sheriff Michael Filicetti; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge James B. Devito; and the New York State Police, under the direction of Major James Hall, all participated in the investigation.
Allee was bold about his lifestyle, as shown on a Facebook post 17 days before the July 2019 raid:
“As i sit here in my mercedes i look down at my hands and see good, look at my wrist more gold, then i see even more around my neck. I have money, cars, toys, own a huge house with a pond, own a farm, own a business, im doing better in life than most of the people i know maybe even all but this woman here is the reason my life is this great. My wife has never doubted me and at times i failed she reminded me how fast i can overcome anything. Its because of her i started my business. Its because of her i have a beautiful daughter.”
His last post came on July 20, 2019, a post advertising his business, Tony’s Pool Service.
