Batavia woman faces new charge

WARSAW — Love Don’t Judge.

A judge will, though.

A Batavia woman who appeared on an offbeat television show called “Love Don’t Judge” with her much younger girlfriend has been arrested for domestic violence-related charges for at least the third time this year.

Kimberly R. Garland, 51, was charged last month with second-degree criminal contempt of court for violating an order of protection.

The person with the court order of protection against her is a man who apparently has been in the company of Garland’s ex-girlfriend, Rose H. Chiauzzi, 28.

The two in April appeared on “Love Don’t Judge” on Barcroft TV. The show, titled “She’s Not An Old Hag — She’s My Girlfriend!” featured the struggles the couple had with people commenting on their age difference.

Just a month before the show aired, Garland was arrested for felony strangulation for choking the same man who was the victim in last month’s arrest.

And last month, Garland was arrested at a hotel in Batavia for hitting Chiauzzi, stealing her phone and violating an order of protection Chiauzzi had against her.

Chiauzzi, who also has appeared on MTV’s Catfish and in porn movies and did a “Celebrity Boxing” event, also has had her share of legal problems. She was arrested in September for felony DWI and a year ago was arrested for assaulting a person with a knife. The victim was not identified but police said it was a domestic violence case.
