WARSAW — The village of Warsaw has opted in to allowing adult-use cannabis retail dispensaries or on-site consumption licenses within the village.

Trustees voted, 3-2, in favor of opting in during Monday’s meeting, Mayor Joseph Robinson said this morning. Voting in favor of the opt-in were Robinson and trustees Cynthia Appleton and Margaret Gardner. Voting against it were trustees James Wagner and Robin LaWall.

Under state law, cities, towns, and villages have until Dec. 31 to opt out of allowing adult-use retail dispensaries or on-site consumption licenses. If nothing is done, they are automatically opted in.
