Wind advisories continue until 11 p.m. across the four-county GLOW region and neighboring counties, with wind gusts up to 50 mph.

The National Weather Service has issued an advisory for Genesee, Livingston, Wyoming, Niagara nad Allegany counties. West to northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph are forecast.

A separate advisory includes Orleans, Monroe, Wayne, northern Cayuga, Oswego and Ontario counties, where west to northwest winds of 25 to 35 mph forecast.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects and result in difficult travel for high profile vehicles. A few tree limbs could be blown down and a few isolated power outages may result.

Secure outdoor objects, advises the Weather Service.

The unsettled weather today is the result of a deepening storm system that is making its way from New England to the Canadian Maritimes, the Weather Service said in a forecast discussion.

High pressure over the Upper Great Lakes this evening will then track by to the south overnight and Saturday. This will set the stage for clearing tonight and partial sunshine to start the weekend. While temperatures will trend higher during the weekend, the weather will become increasingly unsettled, the Weather Service said.
